Players:
Brad, Gus, Ruby
Location: Kitchen
Brad: "Ruby, what sort of sandwiches should we have for lunch? Peanut
butter & Jelly, Tuna, or Grilled Cheese?"
Ruby: "Grilled Cheese."
Brad begins moving toward refrigerator, then slows, his eyes narrow.
Brad: "Ruby, WHAT sort of sandwich do you want? Grilled Cheese, Tuna, or
Peanut Butter?"
Ruby: "Peanut Butter."
Brad sighs: "Ruby, what sort of sandwich? Peanut Butter, Grilled Cheese,
or Tuna?"
Ruby: "Tuna."
Brad: "Let’s try this a different way." Grabs some items from shelves
and the fridge.
Brad places 3 items in front of Ruby - a can of tuna, a block of cheese, and a
jar of Strawberry Jelly: "Ruby, which of these do you want." Points
at each as he names them. "This is tuna, this is Jelly, this is cheese.
Jelly, Cheese, or Tuna; Cheese, Tuna, or Jelly; Tuna, Jelly or Cheese?"
Ruby - wheels turn: {Tuna is right out. Cheese is
delightful...but Strawberry Jam has the most sugar and will ruin my nap.}
Ruby: "Strawberry Jelly."
Brad: "And you Gus, which sandwich? Tuna, Grilled Cheese, or Peanut
Butter."
Gus: {Yes please.}
Brad: "You can't have them all."
Gus: {Do not sell me short, sir. My ability to
consume knows no satiety.}
Brad: "You're getting Peanut Butter."
Ruby: "I'm going to take off my skirt."
Brad: "Why?"
Ruby: "We are home."
Brad shakes his head: "Fine go ahead."
Brad begins pulling out the items for the food stuffs.
Gus immediately LOSES IT.
Gus: {Wait, are we eating?}
Brad: "We JUST talked about this."
Gus: {WHY ISN'T IN FRONT OF ME THIS MOMENT? I COULD
PASS OUT FROM MALNUTRITION AT ANY MOMENT.}
Brad: "You are in the 100% for weight, you're fine."
Brad finishes the sandwiches and places them in front of the kids, putting a
bib on Gus.
Brad: "What do you say?"
Ruby: "Thank you, daddy."
Brad: "Gus?"
Gus has already shoved a fourth of the sandwich in his mouth. {Wuht? O yuh, Fenks.}
Brad turns to make himself some lunch. Less than a minute passes.
Gus: {ATTENTION, I REQUIRE MORE SUSTENANCE.}
Brad looks back and the sandwich is GONE. The Tray, the bib, Gus's arms
and face are COVERED in PB&J.
Brad "What a mess."
Gus: {Really, I was going for a Jackson Pollock.
ENOUGH ART TALK, MORE FOOD!}
